MangoSpring launches Engage, the first social business communication product that combines business social software with enterprise-grade Instant Messaging

MangoSpring Engage delivers the missing ingredient to make social business software truly effective for business communication. Engage seamlessly combines business social networking with enterprise-grade Instant Messaging to enable open and immediate communication.

SEATTLE, WA (PRWEB) February 15, 2010 – MangoSpring, a provider of real-time messaging solutions, today announced the availability of Engage, a smart set of business communication and social collaboration tools to boost daily productivity. Engage is the first product to seamlessly integrate enterprise microblogging with enterprise-grade Instant Messaging.

www.engagesmart.comIn addition to the features businesses have come to expect in the new breed of enterprise social communication software – microblogging, follow/follower news feeds, user profiles, project team collaboration and file sharing – Engage integrates one-on-one instant messaging, group chat and presence throughout.

“Efficient employee communication is vital to every business. Over the last 15 years, employees around the world have relied on email, IM, intranets, and blogs to talk to each other, share news and information and collaborate on projects. Engage is the natural evolution of these communication and collaboration solutions. The current tools used to accomplish daily tasks don’t provide the open and immediate communication needed to conduct an efficient business” said Anup Kejriwal, CEO and founder of MangoSpring Inc.

Engage allows for all types of business workplace communication, from microblog-style status updates to immediate, secure instant messaging. In typical microblog feeds, comments and replies can come within minutes, hours or days making the pace of communication too slow for business use. With Engage, a user can see that the colleague who posted a status update is online, launch an IM session right from the update and share information or close an issue immediately.

All Engage networks are private and secure. Companies can control the membership to the network, customize it and manage the content posted by their users. All content (status, IM, files, profiles, projects) within Engage is securely archived and searchable. Engage can be accessed in three ways: (1) by web browser from any PC, (2) by a desktop client that provides convenient, anytime access, or (3) by a mobile client from an iPhone or an Android device.

Availability
Engage is available in two Software as a Service (SaaS) deployment options: shared and private. Shared Cloud networks are hosted on MangoSpring servers in a telco class data center. Private Cloud networks are also hosted on MangoSpring servers for customers who need VPN access, higher security and a higher service level agreement (SLA). In addition, Engage is available as an on-premise solution for customers wishing to deploy Engage alongside their other IT systems and behind their company’s own firewall. The on-premise option comes with source code for unlimited customization and integration.

Pricing
The SaaS version of Engage is offered with three pricing plans: Free, Standard and Premium editions. The Free Edition allows a company to get started by creating a network with unlimited users and includes all user features. A company wishing to customize and administer the participation and content of a network will want to purchase the Standard or Premium editions which are $3.99 and $4.99 per user, per month, respectively. The Premium Edition builds on the Standard Edition with more security features and the ability to add users outside the corporate email domain. The Standard and Premium Editions include enterprise-grade support. Private cloud and on-premise pricing is available upon request.
